April 9th Riddles

1.  A redeemer I'm not but that's what you're taught.
Decisions I made to bring order to life.
With thoughts torn between right and wrong,
it was money that moved me along.
Turns out I brought strife to many a life.
Just look around inside of me and realize
I'm not all I am said to be.
Who am I.

2.  A beacon of light in a place filled with darkness.
On fire for God, quietly resistant too passive for some.
Preaching words beyond borders only some understand;
Progressive and compassionate when altruism wasn't pretty.
I am of 12 who've been honored for visions others failed to see.
Who am I?

3.  From jail to education.
Feared for correction,
Fierce and lively.
 Babied and pampered.
One of the first from the past
