Morning Riddles

Every morning riddles are given to the scholars by Mrs. Terrye Davis. The riddles relate to what will be shared for today at the colleges and museums.

Riddles:

1. Sparse and fierce
Feared by all
Disciplined as warriors 
Militariestic but long gone
Who am I?

2. A symbol of freedom
Arms sprawling long
I am an expression of a right made wrong
I am one of 10 greats of the world
What am I?

3. Pine and army,
bottle and mint,
celadon and emerald just to name a few.
Tell me what am I referring to?

  2. 1. Spartans- the school mascot of Norfolk state.
    2. The Emancipation oak. The tree where the emancipation proclamation was read to slaves in Vurginia. It is located on Hampton's campus.
    3. The color green- Norfolk's school color.
